SEQUAL recognizes the importance of maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of all parties when collecting and utilising information. Observing the NDIS guidelines and Australian Privacy Principles governing standards (Privacy Act 1988), we are committed to preserving the privacy of our participants and their families, governance board members and our staff at all times.
Collection and consent
SEQUAL collects only that information which is deemed necessary to provide services and with the express knowledge and consent of all parties concerned. Personal and sensitive information is necessary to plan, deliver and monitor the services provided and any information collected will be used only for this purpose.
Options for anonymity, including the use of pseudonym, are available and will be utilised when possible and practical.
Information disclosure
SEQUAL prohibits the disclosure of personal or sensitive information to any party without authorisation and will not disclose information to other institutions and authorities except if required by law or with the express knowledge and consent of all parties concerned.
Update and withdraw
SEQUAL will provide access to information as requested, allowing personal and sensitive information to be updated, amended or withdrawn at any time.
