There are two levels of supports for people requiring assistance with daily activities: Standard and Higher Intensity.

High Intensity Supports are where specialised, more skilled or more experienced support workers may be required to deliver supports to some participants who need it.

SEQUAL specialises in High Intensity supports for personal care and community participation. As a registered provider of High-Intensity support services, our workforce has competent skills to provide support under clinical guidance from our team:
• Complex Bowel Care
• Enteral Feeding and Management, including PEG feeding
• Urinary Catheter Care
• Stoma Care
• Tracheostomy Care
• Diabetes Management
• Day-to-day management of medications
• Complex wound and pressure care

Our support staff can provide these services as they have additional training from a Registered Nurse (RN) and we have a team of RN’s that support, guide and mentor our direct care staff.

This safeguards participants as the staff can skilfully perform clinician tasks within a community setting and have the knowledge, skills and experience to escalate any clinical situations required to promote positive health outcomes for our participants.

SEQUAL provides in-house and external personalised training for our support staff, and we encourage participants, their circle of support and stakeholders to be involved in this process wherever possible.
Each person will have a health care plan specific to their needs, and by using a person-led supports approach, people supported by us, will be involved in the planning and management of their care.
